Captain Stubing, the fictional cruise director and protagonist on The Love Boat television series, is being celebrated by Princess Cruises with a special themed voyage from Miami to Nassau. Jill Whelan (Vicki Stubing) of Princess Cruises will host the themed voyage, which will be accompanied by cast members from “Love Boat,” including Cynthia Lauren Tewes (Julie McCoy), Bernie Kopell (Doc), Fred Grandy (Gopher), and Ted Lange (Isaac).

Throughout the voyage, the actors will partake in a variety of activities as well as commemorate the late Gavin MacLeod’s 91st birthday. Captain Stubing, played by MacLeod, was one of the cast’s most prominent members. Sadly, MacLeod died in May 2021 at the age of 90. For more than 35 years, he was also a marketing ambassador for Princess Cruises.

The cruise, which begins on MacLeod’s birthday, will sail the Mexican Riviera in the style of the original “Love Boat” television series.
