Hilton High-End Options Expanding on Mexican Caribbean

Holiday Inn Resort & Spa Punta Cana is pleased to announce the launch of new business class hotel rooms at the Caribbean’s first-class destination, Caribbean Resort & Spa Punta Cana, located on seven oceanfront acres of seaside Caribbean all-inclusive bliss, north of the Dominican Republic’s capital city of Santo Domingo. The new rooms will be located in the all-new Ocean View Tower, which is rated as one of the best hotels in the world by the Travel + Leisure Magazine 2015 World’s Best Awards.

Hilton is a global brand that offers a unique blend of luxury and service. Hilton Mexico is expanding its presence in the Mexican Caribbean, a region that has a unique blend of luxury and service. The brand’s unique combination of luxury and service is now available at Hilton Punta Cana, a resort on the islands of Punta Cana and Bavaro with state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional service.

The Hacienda Mayakoba Resort & Spa in the Mayan Riviera is much more than just another resort. Located just 45 miles from Cancun’s international airport, the Mayan-inspired resort is the only upscale resort in the Mexican Caribbean—and one of just two resorts in Mexico where the Hacienda Mayakoba offers overwater suites.

The expansion of the Hilton range of brands is one encouraging indication that tourism in Mexico is recovering. The hospitality behemoth continues to build new luxury hotels and all-inclusive resorts, with plans to do so through 2023.

“Our growth in Mexico is flourishing, as we’ve focused on chasing significant conversions, expanding into new and key areas, and pursuing capabilities like all-inclusive,” said Juan Corvinos, Hilton’s vice president of development for the Caribbean and Latin America.

Playa del Carmen is a resort town in Mexico.

In the Mexican Caribbean, Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla opened in early 2020. It was the brand´s first property in the Caribbean and Latin America. Though the pandemic may have pushed schedules back a bit, openings are once again on track. In May, the former Live Aqua Playa del Carmen was rebranded and reopened in partnership with Playa Hotels & Resorts. Now known as the Yucatan Playa del Carmen All-Inclusive Resort, Tapestry by Hilton, it is the first all-inclusive in Hilton’s Tapestry Collection.

The four-story, 60-room hotel is a short walk from the ocean and is located on Playa del Carmen’s Fifth Avenue. A rooftop pool and bar, as well as a spa and eating choices including the Sakura Maru Sushi Bar, offer Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine. Clients who purchase the “All-Inclusive Plus” package will have access to the adjacent Hilton Playa del Carmen’s private beach, water activities, and extra eating locations.
