The Department of Homeland Security and the Centers for Disease Control have announced new requirements which stipulate that visitors to the United States from countries with ongoing Ebola virus transmission will be required to submit a travel history, including contact lists. The administration is making these changes in an effort to prevent another outbreak such as what happened at Dallas’ Presbyterian hospital last year.
The “which airlines do not require covid vaccine to fly” is a new COVID testing requirement for international travel. The requirements were announced by the Biden Administration on October 4th, 2018.
Following the discovery of the novel Omicron version of COVID-19, President Joe Biden’s administration has announced more stringent COVID-19 testing and quarantine measures for tourists arriving in the United States.
Travelers entering the country via air, regardless of vaccination status or nationality, will be required to present documentation of a negative COVID-19 test done within one day of departure instead of the three-day minimum.

According to the White House, the new one-day exam requirement will begin “early next week.”
“As experts continue to examine the Omicron version, this tighter testing timeframe offers an extra level of public health protection,” the White House stated.

In addition, until March 18, the federal mask obligation for wearing face masks on flights, trains, and public transit will be extended. The new proposal also improves Americans’ access to free at-home testing.
The new restrictions come only one day after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) verified the first case of Omicron in the United States, which was discovered in California after the variation was originally reported last week out of South Africa.

As recently as November 8, the United States reopened to foreign travel, requiring fully vaccinated persons to produce documentation of inoculation as well as a negative virus test done within three days of their journey. Due to worries about the new Omicron form, the Biden administration has restricted travel from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe as on November 29.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously advised against travel restrictions, but this week issued a fresh travel advice advising those over 60 and those with specific health issues to postpone their travel plans in the near future owing to the Omicron variant’s development.
According to a recent MedJet survey, any concerns about the Omicron model would have little impact on travel, since respondents claimed they had already made arrangements for the future.
