Newest MSC Cruise Ship Arrives in Miami Ahead of Inaugural Caribbean Cruises

The Carnival Vista, a new MSC cruise ship with room for 2,500 guests, arrived in Miami this week ahead of sailing inaugural Caribbean cruises from the city. The vessel is an expansion on Florida’s existing fleet and includes two water slides and a giant outdoor pool overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The “msc seashore” is a cruise ship that will be in Miami for the first time. The ship has been designed to provide a more luxurious experience with an emphasis on new technology and modern amenities.

On Sunday, the first of MSC’s Seaside EVO-class ships landed in Miami, ahead of her first Caribbean voyage on November 20. Only a few weeks ago, the $1 billion ship departed from Barcelona, Spain, after completing her inaugural Mediterranean cruise season.

The vessel sailed with guests for the first time in August, despite having been planned to start sailing earlier this year in June. MSC Seashore will sail on a three-day trip before departing on her debut cruises from the United States to the Bahamas, during which she will be formally christened.

Sailing in the Bahamas and the Caribbean

MSC Seashore has been completely re-imagined, with more than 65 percent of public spaces re-designed, the vessel is 16 meters (53 feet) longer, and has different entertainment options, bars, restaurants, 10,000 m2 of outdoor space, and 200 more passenger cabins than her Seaside-class sister ships MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview.

MSC Seashore was created with the warm Miami environment in mind, and the vessel’s stunning aft part is modeled after the city’s iconic Miami-style beach condominiums.

The ship also has cutting-edge environmental technology, UV-treated air systems, and a completely immersive interactive design that includes touch displays throughout the ship, televisions in bedrooms, and MSC for me, the cruise line’s app.

On November 20, the MSC Seashore will embark on its inaugural Caribbean and Bahamas trip. The 169,500 gross ton, 4,560-passenger cruise ship will be permanently stationed in the United States, sailing from her homeport in Miami, Florida.

Before returning to Miami, Florida, her maiden voyage will stop at Cozumel, Falmouth, Jamaica, and MSC Ocean Cay in the Bahamas. Guests may extend their trip by two days at Ocean Cay, a stop in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a final call in Nassau, Bahamas.

The ship will, however, sail a three-day voyage for invited guests before embarking on her debut Miami cruise.

Sophia Loren to Be MSC Seashore’s Godmother

MSC Seashore will depart on a three-day trip to MSC’s own island of Ocean Cay in the Bahamas on Wednesday, November 17. Sophia Loren, MSC’s favorite godmother, will formally name the ship here. It will be the actress’s sixteenth time as godmother of an MSC cruise ship.

Loren has had a particular connection with the Aponte family, the cruise line’s proprietors, for many years: “It’s family,” Loren remarked, “I’ve known this family since they had children.” We are both from the same city. It’s a bond that will last a lifetime.”

MSC Seashore’s christening will also serve as the formal inauguration of Ocean Cay. A small number of travel advisers, agents, corporate executives and staff, as well as distinguished guests, will be aboard the unique naming celebration cruise. They’ll get a sneak peek at one of the most creative and newest ships to depart from PortMiami.

There will be activities aboard and onshore at Ocean Cay during the voyage, and guests will be treated to a spectacular gala dinner in the evening.

MSC Seashore cruises depart from Port Miami’s cruise terminal F. She will begin sailing from the cruise line’s new state-of-the-art cruise port in 2023, which will be able to accommodate three EVO-class ships at once and 36,000 guests in a single day.

Since the suspensions began in Spring 2020, the new MSC vessel will be the final ship in the fleet to commence operations from the United States. The MSC Meraviglia was the first ship in the fleet to return to the nation in August 2021, and it is now based in PortMiami, Florida. By resuming service in September, the MSC Divina became the first MSC vessel to call Port Canaveral, Florida home.
