Norwegian Cruise Line is planning to homeport in Galveston, Texas and feature a three-level racetrack as part of its new cruise ship.
The ncl prima deck plan is a Norwegian cruise ship that will be docking in Galveston, Texas. It will feature three-level racetrack and an observation lounge.
Following the ship’s maiden season, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that Norwegian Prima would homeport at Galveston, Texas in 2023 and 2024.
The firm also revealed a slew of entertainment choices that would be available aboard, including the Prima Speedway, the world’s first three-level 1,378-foot-long racetrack, and the world’s first freefall drop dry slide.

Norwegian Cruise Company is the latest cruise line to choose Galveston, Texas as the homeport for one of its newest ships. The cruise port is growing in popularity, and starting in 2023, Norwegian Prima will visit the port once a week to embark new passengers.
The ship is currently being built in Italy, but when finished, it is estimated to cost the cruise line $850 million. At double occupancy, the 142,500 gross ton vessel will be able to accommodate 3,215 passengers.
On August 17, 2022, Norwegian Prima will set sail on her first trip from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to Reykjavik, Iceland, with stops at Zeebrugge, Bergen, and Geiranger, Norway, and Akureyri and Isafjordur, Iceland.
The ship will visit a number of locations in the UK, Belgium, and France on subsequent voyages before going to Bermuda, New York, and Miami. She will then sail to Galveston, her new homeport.

The ship will be the only vessel providing Western Caribbean cruises from Galveston to Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Harvest Caye, Belize, which is exclusively available to NCL passengers; and Roatan Island, Honduras. All trips will last between eight and nine hours in port, as passengers have come to anticipate from Norwegian Cruise Line.

NCL isn’t slacking off when it comes to its newest ship, showcasing some amazing expanded and new features. This is in addition to the outdoor spaces and features that were announced earlier this year.

Norwegian Cruise Line already has a racetrack aboard Norwegian Encore, but Norwegian Prima takes it a step further. The new track will be 1378 feet (420 meters) long and will be divided into three levels. The Prima racetrack will run around and through the funnel of the ship, with 14 bends for 15 racers in 30 mph go-karts.

The ship will also include the world’s first freefall dry slide, The Drop, which will take guests on a 10-story drop with the greatest G-forces of any cruise line, as well as two additional dry slides, The Rush, where passengers may race each other down the slides.

The Brand’s first Tidal Wave waterslide, including gushing surfs where passengers can ride an innertube to catch the perfect wave, will make its splashing debut on Norwegian Prima as part of the ship’s Aqua Park and Main Pool area. Guests who want to unwind may do so in one of two infinity hot tubs or beneath the cascading water feature in the area.
Onboard entertainment is provided by “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical,” which was created by the same production company that delivered “Jersey Boys” to Norwegian Bliss passengers. The Musical will be 75 minutes long and will include a score of more than 20 of Summer’s mega-hits.

A state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility including a theater and a nightclub will be built. With fluidly changing rooms, a bespoke layout, and moving LED displays, the three-level venue will be revolutionary. “The Price Is Right,” “Supermarket Sweep,” and other interactive real-life game programs will be featured at Norwegian Prima. Onboard, one thing is certain: visitors will not be bored!
The Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera is presently building the new-class warship. After floating out of its dry dock in August, the ship is now in the final stages of outfitting.
